Pics from this weekend!

First, myself in my fabulous new 60s tunic made for me by the amazing Ms Pham!

Then there was the Mystery Machine. This was so cool! On the other side it had some of the Scooby Gang!

And last but not least, my little sketch with crayon at dinner. Maybe someday I’ll do this one properly and finish.

Timothy, myself, and Christine, a wonderful and tremendously talented new friend we met this weekend! She sat a couple of tables down from us, and I especially loved her Loki’s Army shirt she’s wearing here. It was a pleasure to be surrounded by such lovely people as we were. There were nice people at every table around us, and I feel so fortunate to have met them all.
(By the way, yes that is a Star Sapphire ring!)
I’d also like to mention that, although I didn’t get a picture with him, Mike Lilly is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I hope you’ll all support his work whenever you can.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my Heroes Con photos! I was so busy I didn’t get so many of them that I can post, but I had a wonderful time!

The VIP lounge at the hotel! This was where we ate breakfast every morning, and it was well worth it. The food was delicious, there were plenty of options, and there was a stunning view. The service was perfect, the company was magnificent, and we had a wonderfully large television right next to our table…which we tuned to Nickelodeon each morning and drowned out the news on the other side of the lounge.

I gained a new interest: Penguins of Madagascar. That show is hilarious! I never watch TV when I’m at home, so it was completely new to me.

Myself with Nick Cardy, one of my absolute idols. A master of comic art — and art in general — Mr. Cardy was responsible for (amongst other things) the majority of the comics of the first run of Teen Titans!
He was a pleasure to meet and a pleasure to spend time with. I am usually totally cool meeting anyone, but the first time meeting him, I had to stop myself from bursting into blissful tears twice! Fortunately I managed it and subsequent meetings were less frantic.
Classy, charismatic, and charming. That’s Nick Cardy! And his niece Marianne was a delight, and so stylish!
It was a dream come true to meet him.

Mmm, Paco Ramone <3

This was my piece for the art auction! I was actually angsting that someone would buy it who didn’t know who Paco is, but one of our friends found the guy on Sunday (excuse my informal attire, I was dressed for comfort for the trip home!) and I got to pose for a picture with him. He was delighted to get the piece, and he hadn’t even noticed that there was an extra sketch on the back with a special message from Paco!

Chris Sims and Not Chad Bowers, who did a wonderful Vibe sketch for me! It was an absolute pleasure meeting Chris and all the rest of the Action Age crew.

I hope Chris is feeling better now. He had a touch of food poisoning Saturday, but it didn’t affect his wonderful personality at all. He was so fun to be around. They’re all great people, and it was my pleasure to meet them!

The amazing Fujo, where we ate two nights in a row! The food was excellent, the service was superb, and the whole experience was totally perfect. If you go there, try their Szechuan tofu and veggies — it’s stunning! They also have fantastic nigori sake.
I was amused of course, since I’m a wordplay dork. I’m sure they probably meant fujo as 婦女, as in ‘woman’, but I was thinking of 腐女 as in ‘rotten woman’ — female otaku who loooove their yaoi and BL! They might have meant something else too…I just amuse myself far too much with my wordplay silliness.

Some new friends with me on Friday! Their costumes were so lovely, and it was a pleasure to have them at my table.
I have to say, over the weekend, Loki himself seemed to bring a vast amount of traffic to my table…I’m grateful! I’ll have to light some incense later!

Myself and Sir Roger on the red carpet! Just take my word for it; even though you can’t really see it in the picture, there was red carpet!

A gorgeous little park on the way to Fuel Pizza, which was delicious! Naturally, I had to get a shot of Wuthering Heights. Those of you who know about my thing with Wuthering Heights know that every time I see a new adaptation of it, I’m practically compelled to read it. So I had to take a picture!
